From the Plaine de l'Ain through the Haut-Bugey to the Pays de Gex, the second stage of this 36th edition will be the queen stage on the national holiday. Saint-Vulbas and the resort of Lélex Monts-Jura, traditional stopover towns, are sure to see a showdown between the strongest men.

Saint-Vulbas is a French commune, located in the Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Its inhabitants are the Villibadois and Villibadoises. The commune belongs to the urban area of Lyon.
The commune is located on the right bank of the Rhône, at an altitude of 205 metres, about 44 kilometres north-east of Lyon and 17 kilometres from Ambérieu-en-Bugey. The Bugey nuclear power plant and the Plaine de l’Ain industrial park are located here.
The commune is located in the small region of the Ain plain, between Bas-Bugey and Côtière.
At the interface between the Lyon region and the south of the Ain département, the CC-Plaine de l’Ain benefits from road, motorway and rail links that make it even more attractive. At the confluence of the Ain and Rhône rivers, at the gateway to the Dombes and Bugey regions, it offers an unspoilt living environment at the heart of a green and tourist area with strong economic development.
